Speaking from Experience//Idea Generation.

Today we had a workshop focused on how to solve the problems we had identified....

Feedback from Franki.....

Feedback from Franki....

At the end of the workshop, I had decided to focus on the problem

'How to know where to go on a night out in Leeds.'

I think this has the most scope and is the most original concept, as I think many people will be focusing on food.

The return of the letters.....

Received 23/04/11

Today I received my letters through the post ...they made it, all bar one! However, one of the letters had written on it 'too easy'!! I have since learnt that they simply need a postcode and house number in order to deliver the letter to the correct address, so maybe a few more tricky ones are in order!!!!

A success!

What is a Line...Sketchbook//Stitch

Using stitch to conceal the full face....inspired by Alison Worman and Richard Saja

What is a Line...Sketchbook//Family Tree

Treating animals as humans and questioning the relationship through the behaviours in a similar way to that of Container and Jonathan Burton ...no-one will ever actually know the true relationships present.

Michelle Thompson inspired the latter. I thought it was relevant to use the cards as King, Queen and Jack to represent the hierarchy of the family tree; I have used my own family figures within this. I really like this and would like to produce it in varying formats on a larger scale.

What is a Line...Sketchbook//Recipes

Recipes to upload to the RecipeLook website.

What is a Line...Sketchbook//Mail

....designs for the fronts of the letters to send through the mail. I have decided to send them to both my university address and my home address to see if there is a difference in regions. Just a little fun!

What is a Line...Sketchbook//A Continuous Line

Susie Wright and Jesper Waldersten have inspired these continuous line creations. The flowers were first hand drawings from some flowers I had in my room; admittedly at the end of their lives! However, I am really pleased with the outcome of using one line for the whole image. It was tricky at times to work out where to go next, but all in all it has created some intriguing results.

What is a Line...Sketchbook//Patterns

Again, inspired by Kate Bingaman's work I wanted to produce my own patterns; this would then give me the possibility of scanning them in and adding colour to them, as well as using them as fills.
