WHAT IS GOOD//Project Rationale/Concept Statement2.

GOOD is 'A Pencil'

Why?

//Tool for creativity
//Tool for emotional release
//Freedom of speech
//Allows you to share
//Available in various colours, intensities, sizes, brands etc.

I intend to (inform/instruct/persuade/direct/educate/promote)

Inform audience about how a pencil can be used for more than just the obvious drawing and writing.
Instruct audience on how to use the pencil in order to help themselves or others.
Promote the pencil and it's potential uses. (i.e. Free pencils if use it to give something back to the charity?)

...a group of (identify your specific audience or context)

Emotionally distressed individuals either with an underlying problem in which they wish to address (through a charity) or learn to cope with.

...that (state your message, idea or concept)

A pencil an object usually associated with reading and writing, however, it can be used for more than that. Ultimately, it could go as far as giving someone the chance to change their lives through the pencil becoming a coping strategy, a form of anger management, emotional release etc.

In order to achieve this I will produce....
(specify at this point in time what you aim to produce, the method of delivery/distribution/the context in which it will be viewed.)

PRODUCT (what is your product)

A pencil. Variations of the pencil can be used (brands, boldness, colour, size)

RANGE (what range of deliverables will you produce/propose)

I want to package the pencil and provide promotional material as to how the pencil can be used for a purpose which is more than meets the eye (a product). The pencil could then be given away free as part of a charity/organisation whose intention it is to help people overcome emotional distress, stress, anger management etc. It is an effective way of people dealing with this type of situation without having to initially come forward and ask for the help.

CONTEXT (define the context in which your product will exist)

Workplaces, schools, colleges, universities ...any institution where emotional disfunction may occur within a person but not be recognised (either by the person themselves or the authoritative person).
