Applying the poster...

In order for the word to be spread about the Boots 17 cosmetics range it needs to be visible in our everyday environment...

well, this is a little bright! Need to tone that down a little I think...

...bus stop is a very convenient place to advertise as people are forced to sit and wait at bus stops, they will therefore be forced to view the advertisement. The poster includes a QR code which can be scanned and will take the recipient directly to the Boots 17 website.

These poster can also be displayed in the Boots shop windows alongside other advertisements for the store...

...not very well photoshopped, but you get the point!

...a glossy magazine would be a perfect place to target my audience as it is also target to the same audiences. (This obviously needs a little work to make it more realistic.)

Twitter page variations...

I have used the colour scheme of the 17 range to create variations of the Twitter page. These can change every time the page reloads to create intrigue and keep the page visually exciting....

Twitter page design...

I have designed a Twitter page to keep up the social media presence of Boots 17 using the design used on the Facebook page in order for the 17 theme to remain consistent.....

Preliminary boards....

These are my boards so far, still a working progress but they're getting there....

Developing the Facebook banner...

I wasn't at all happy with the initial designs of the Facebook banner, so I had a little play using inspiration from fashion based design....

..this first design seemed far too bare and I thought it needed some more depth. The facebook page also needed more of the branding I had designed incorporated into it in order for it to have more of an identity and to entice people to purchase the brand when they see it in store. Consequently, I decided to attempt to incorporate the 6 ranges into the design......

...I tried to duplicate the products, then make them smaller to fit in the banner. I thought that if this worked then I could propose that this is done with more products from the '17' cosmetics range.

I kept the more simplistic design and decided to add the colour coded range labels at varying sizes in order to fill space and create more interest about the products.

...now this looks a little more lively and inviting!

Branding EVERYTHING 17.

So, earlier I realised not all my products and packaging had been branded with the 17 logo. This is considerably important to ensure people are aware of the brand they are using and essentially providing '17' with advertising and the ability to come their brand alive.....

...I also altered the weight as this information was incorrect.

Making the net designs printable.

I wanted to print the nets designs out to show how they will work one they are printed out. In order for them to look presentable I needed to lower the opacity of the net design so that I know where to fold but these guides are not visible once printed.....

sorted.

Nets for all

I still needed to produce net designs for the 'nails', 'tan' and 'tools' range so I got to it....

App Expansion

I want to propose the app works across all three phone types in order to gain maximum potential access from the audience, therefore I am going to propose that the app works on iPhones, Blackberry's and Android phone devices...

Facebook/Twitter Re-design

I am proposing that the '17' Facebook and Twitter sites are re-designed with my designs, however, I am finding it fairly difficult to do this. I have not used any imagery within my design (just block colour) so trying to create interesting banners. This is what I have been playing around with so far.....

OBVIOUSLY STILL A LONG WAY TO GO!!!

Poster Development

Due to me not being at all happy with the outcome of my poster design, I tried to adapt the design to further enhance them but allow them to remain coherent in their context. I find these posters quite dull and am not sure how far I can push the design to make them more interesting whilst allowing the posters to continue to work within the Boots environment.

Window Display posters

As part of the promotional material for the Boots 17 range, I am proposing that posters be placed in Boots store windows in order to create interest about the product.....

these posters follow the Boots poster format, so they are not considerably exciting. I am therefore going to try and push this further to make the posters more visually engaging.
