Software Workshop4


Looking for 8 faults in the design for print.

ONE// 5 print plates used, 7 colours in use....



..need to delete two from swatch.



TWO//


Three spot colours, 2 not in use.




..not CMYK but RGB which will result in a colour shift when converted to CMYK.



Change by double clicking swatch in palette. 


THREE//


Tree does not have link attached


Pre-flight panel shows error.

FOUR//


No bleed on first page.

FIVE//


Been rescaled in inDesign, should have been rescaled in Photoshop and then placed.
'Effective dpi' of appx. 2000  and 'Scale: 15/8%' are indications of this. 



SIX//


bird3 is RGB not CMYK.

SEVEN//

bird7 72dpi should be 300dpi. (low resolution image)

EIGHT//



Registration chosen instead of black resulting in too many ink plates.


PACKAGE//






...these are pre-flight checks that can be made: comprehensive run down of print specifications that need attention being paid to.

..legality of providing fonts to printer.

OR 

Provide a pdf file, includes all of the fonts used and images. Means only one file to send to print.







Use 'Press Quality' for commercial print. No need  to go through other settings unless printer has told you to do so.


Shows pages being processed. Can easily see which pages are causing problems.
