WHAT IS GOOD... Colour Consideration for Colour Pencils

I am considering the colours I want to use for my coloured pencil packaging. I have looked at the typical colours supplied in a crayola pencil packaging (here) and primary colours, as these are the basic colours you use and learn. However, as I want my pencils to still contain a creative edge I am going to base my colour scheme on these but use colours which are little more appealing and do not just resemble a primary school art class.

I am going to now look at using a tint on the other half, rather than a white....

I am not keen on this at all, it is far too garish!
